Celebrating Veterans Day and Thanksgiving
November brings us 2 very special days to be thankful.
On November 11, we celebrate Veterans Day. These brave men and women have made many sacrifices to defend our country, keep us safe, and maintain our freedom for which we should be thankful every day, not just on Veterans Day.
On the fourth Thursday of November, we celebrate THANKSGIVING. On this day, we thank God for all of our blessings. Sometimes the Thanksgiving meal, holiday travel, early Christmas shopping, parades, ball games and other things take center stage in our lives. This year, let’s take time to “Count Our Blessings” and thank God for all of them. There are many blessings that we take for granted every day that we should remember to be thankful for.
Psalm 95: 1-2 – “O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord. Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving.”
